Therapy
For Men
With Bradford Wolf, LCSW
I’ve worked with men throughout my career and was trained by the Men’s Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (MTREM).
That experience helped me understand the pressure men struggle with: to be the strong one, to know how to fix things, to never show weakness- even when wearing down.
Are you feeling pressure to hold everything together at home, work, and in life?
Is your partner asking you to get help?
Have you thought about therapy, but just haven’t made the next step?
If you’re carrying stress, anger, or frustration, therapy with me helps you release the pressure and get back to feeling steady again.
Men Come To Me When They
Feel overwhelmed
Struggle with work-family balance
Argue at home
Feel burnt out or checked out
Aren’t sure why they’re angry
Face career stress
Can’t do it all alone
You don’t need a “perfect reason” to start therapy. You just need the space to be honest with no judgment or formality.
It’s time to feel like you again.
“The best time to start therapy is as soon as you’re thinking about it.”
How Therapy with Me Works
My approach is laid back, straightforward, and comfortable.
I know therapy can feel formal or awkward, so I work to make sessions as natural and conversational as possible.
Once you feel at ease, we’ll talk openly about what’s going on and build a plan for change.
Therapies I Use:
-
Helps you challenge unhelpful thought patterns so you stop beating yourself up and make better decisions under pressure.
-
Helps you identify what’s really holding you back and what steps you’re ready to take to make life better.
-
Looks at how your past experiences shape your reactions and relationships today, so you move forward with awareness and control.
-
A foundation that helps me understand men’s emotional worlds and how societal expectations make it harder to ask for help.
We’ll work toward practical goals at your own pace, whether it’s managing stress, improving relationships, or understanding what’s behind your anger.
You don’t have to explode to get relief.
Real change happens in small, steady steps.
After Therapy Patients Report:
Less stress + reactivity
Clearer focus
Better communication
More patience
Calm under pressure
Greater self-awareness
A stronger sense of control
After working together, life feels smoother, things “click again.”
About Bradford Wolf, LCSW
I’m passionate about helping men create the future they want for themselves. I’ve worked with men throughout my entire career and was trained early on by the Men’s Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (MTREM). That experience shaped how I understand what men go through: the pressure to be strong, to fix things, to never show weakness, even when it’s wearing you down.
In therapy, I’m calm, down-to-earth, and focused on making it comfortable for you to talk. Together, we’ll identify your goals, figure out what’s standing in the way, and start building real momentum.
I grew up in the DC area, and when I’m not in the office, I’m usually with my three kids, cheering for DC sports, or planning our next road trip. I’ve been to over 15 countries and love exploring new places.
If you’re ready to feel more like yourself again, I’d be glad to help you get there.
Availability: I work with men in-person in Rockville; Telehealth visits across Maryland and Virginia.
